Ghana people believe that deforestation needs to stop if the forest even stands a chance of surviving in Ghana. In fact if they keep goin at the rate they are now the forest will be gone in the next 45 years. Ghana's new president Jerry Rawlings said that "logging and forest protechion should go hand and hand" he also banned exporting of raw loggs and set a sike 16% of the forest for wildlife and plants. Ghana is very aware of this and is fighting back to try to save their forest!
